HHV-6 ELISA kits are availablefor detection of serum IgG antibodies against early antigen (p41) virus capsid antigen (VCA p140), and envelope antigens gH and gB. For detection of serum IgM antibodies the assay will be available in January 2012.

Antigenemia (antigen capture) assays detecting HHV-6 antigens in biological samples or tissue culture are available early antigen (p41) and envelope antigens gH and gB. The capture assay can also be used to monitor cell cultures for virus isolation, production, quantitation, and antiviral agent screening.

These kits are for reasearch use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
